Booster tutors have supported many students who are studying through elective home education.
We can offer support in any areas of Maths and Science on a topic by topic basis or we can put a programme in place to support students across all three sciences and maths. Our packages are always tailored to meet the needs of the individual student. Additionally, work is set for students to complete when studying at home and this work can be assessed the following week.
Exemplar GCSE programmes
Week 1:
– 1 hour Maths
– 1 hour Biology
– Exam assessment material completed at home for week 2
Week 2
– 1 hour Physics
– 1 hour Chemistry
Exam assess material for weeks 1 and 2 completed at home and assessed for week 3
Pricing would be at the double lesson rate.
Alternatively, support can be offered as regular drop ins.
Week 1
– GCSE Physics energy. Recalling the transfers between stores and pathways
– Exam assessment material completed at home for week 2
Week 2
– Feedback on assessment material and consolidating this with work on the key equations for energy stores.
– Exam assess material for weeks 1 and 2 completed at home and assessed for week 3
Week 3
– Grade 5-9 exam practice questions. Exam paper completed at home and marked for week 4.
